In the Heart of the Sea (2015) directed by Ron Howard is the narrative of the sea tragedy of the Essex, a 1820s whaling vessel. A National Book Award winner, the original history was researched and written by Nathaniel Philbrick, with the screenplay written by Charles Leavitt and with further character and story by Amanda Silver, Rick Jaffa, and Charles Leavitt.
The film is scheduled for US release by Warner Brothers on March, 13, 2015.
