Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter is a film reimaging the biography of the 16th American president in an alternate history that contains a vampire nation.  Orphaned of his mother early in life, Lincoln vows to empty the new world of the undead.  Mentored by Henry Sturgess, played by British actor Dominic Cooper, Lincoln employs a silver-edged axe to wreak mayhem and blood on his blood-sucking enemies.

Adam and Valoma, played by accomplished actor Rufus Sewell and supermodel and new-comer actor Erin Wassen, are king and princess of the vampire nation.

Lincoln's compatriots, Will Johnson and Joshua Speed, played by actors Anthony Mackie and Jimmi Simpson, support his quest to end vampires culminating in a tremendous war aboard a burning train bound for the Gettysburg battlefield.

Benjamin Walker Does "Down Under Press" for Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Besides spending time last week screening Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter for the sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and at two undisclosed locations, Benjamin Walker, Timur Bekmambetov, Erin Wassen and Seth Graham-Smith spent time with the Australian and New Zealand press in Sydney.  Anthony Mackie caught up with the group in Bahrain for the mind-blowing jump and landing onto the aircraft carrier.

Walker appeared as Abraham Lincoln, so others who make the reimagining possible traveled as well.

Benjamin Walker transformed into the cinematic Lincoln under the artful design of

prosthetics and makeup by Greg Cannom with Will Huff.

The movie, which opens in the U.S. on June 22nd, is a dark reimagining of the events of the life of the 16th president and knits itself into the action-adventure gaming landscape.  Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter stars Benjamin Walker as Lincoln with Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson, Alan Tudyk, Erin Wassen, and Rufus Sewell as Adam, Sovereign of the vampire nation.

Anthony Mackie stars as William Johnson, the boyhood friend of the president, who joins Lincoln in his life-long quest to thwart vampire domination of nineteenth century America.  Mackie's character undergoes the same aging transformation that Lincoln undergoes, both characters changing from young men to middle-aged adults to mature men.

Transcendent effects, costumes and sets are crowned by the prosthetic aging of Walker's Lincoln by Greg Cannom and Will Huff among a host of makeup, effects techs and stylists (see the IMDB list here.)
